SMART GRID:
Smart grid will continue to be implemented by Kit Carson Electric and will utilize the Fiber to the Home Project. Fiber to the Home will provide the Kit Carson Electric Cooperative electric territory to a digital technology area. This will allow KCEC to form, maintain, and monitor the electricity network. The use of a two way communication will help monitor the system. This then allow the customers to enable their house to a smart meter and usage of a smart house technology. This will give KCEC ability to monitor consumption of the end user will allow KCE to help it's consumer cut down on electrical usage, and lower their bills.
