Changing your email account settings in Outlook Express


1. Double Click on the Outlook Express Mail Icon.

2. Once opened, go to the top menu bar and choose Tools.

3. From this menu, select Accounts.

4. Select the mail tab.

5. Click on your existing Kit Carson account and select properties.

   6. In the General tab, the following information should be typed in::

Name: Your real name (if you want to be identified)
Organization: You need not put any information here if you don't want to.
E-mail Address: Type your e-mail address here, eg. username@kitcarson.net

7. Click on the Servers tab.

Incoming mail (POP3 server): mail.kitcarson.net
Outgoing mail (SMTP server): smtp.kitcarson.net

Username:(your whole e-mail address) username@kitcarson.net
Password: Enter password in lowercase letters.
Password will only show as *****


8. Click on outgoing server and put a check in the box that says my server requires authentication.

Now click check the box under outgoing server and then click on settings next to it. A new box will appear. Select use same settings as my incoming server click ok

Now click Ok and close.
