Configuring your email settings using Eudora



1. Double Click on the Eudora Mail Icon.

2. Once opened, go to the top menu bar and choose Tools.

3. From this menu, select Options.

4. Select getting started from the left menu bar.

5.Make sure your name appears in the "Real name" field.
6. Enter your e-mail address (e.g. username@kitcarson.net) in the "Return address" field.
7. Change the "Mail Server(Incoming)" field to mail.kitcarson.net
8. Make sure your user ID (e.g. username@kitcarson.net) appears in the "Login Name" field.
9. Change the "SMTP Server(Outgoing)" field to smtp.kitcarson.net
10. Select "Checking Mail" from the left hand bar.

11. Make sure mail.kitcarson.net appears in the "Mail Server" field
12. Make sure your user ID (e.g. username@kitcarson.net) appears in the "Login Name" field.
13. In the drop down list for "Secure Sockets when Receiving" select "Never".
14. Select "Incoming Mail" from the left hand bar.

15. Make sure "Server configuration" is set to "POP".
16. Make sure "Authentication style" is set to"Passwords".

17. Select "Sending Mail" from the left hand bar.
18. Make sure your e-mail address (e.g. username@kitcarson.net) appears in the "Return address" field.
19. Make sure smtp.kitcarson.net appears in the "SMTP server" field.
20. In the drop down list for "Secure Sockets when Sending" select "Never".
21. Click OK. You are now ready to use your mail.
